Any ideas?

I know iphone does it pretty well but what other phones do it? Before I got an iphone all i know a phone can do is call someone

I have an iphone 2g and it doesnt have gps, i am looking for a phone with a stand alone gps to use, preferable with wifi.

Smaller the better

Hmm, any nifty little smartphones?

And doesn't 3G only have a GPS with cell network? Not many have stand alone GPS

Yes, a lot of smartphones come with WiFi. Not all, but a lot.

Just look at the local carriers' websites. If in the US, check:

ATT Smartphones

Verizon Smartphones

Sprint Smartphones

ATT should be getting the HTC Fuze soon (the Diamond Pro), which has GPS, WiFi and a 640x480 touchscreen. WM, so you can use Slingbox, copy/paste, voice calling, TomTom, and other useful things.

(Ironic that Apple is tied exclusively to ATT, but ATT continues to add more and more hot new smartphones from other makers.)
