I have a 16GB iPad 2 running 5.0.1, jailbroken. I've noticed that the "other" storage has amassed to over 3GB, which is pretty annoying because that's over 20% of storage space I can't use. Is there a way to get rid of this "other" storage? I have looked online and it was suggested I clear Safari's cache among other things. I have done that and it did clear up some space, but not enough to no longer be an issue. I have also come across the solution of restoring my iPad; will restoring it from a backup resolve the issue? Obviously I can't do a clean restore because I'd be put on the latest iOS and would lose my jailbreak. If anyone can tell me if a restore from backup would work or (hopefully) provide other solutions, I'm all ears! Thanks.
