Just like the iPhone with Apps and Magic Mouse with 3rd party program, I think that the Magic Pad has more potential than currently offered.

I was thinking that it could be used as a 9-key number pad. If a 3rd party could come out with some sort of plastic overlay with numbers, it def could be used for this sort of job. The developer would have to think about how to transition it between a track pad and a 9-key, but I think that it is feasable.

Any thoughts of what might to come? Maybe a developer can run with some of our ideas...

    Could be turned into a:

    • Home automation remote.
    • Large iPod scroll wheel.
    • (With a pressure sensitive pen) A competitor for Wacom

All I can think of for now.

If you hold it with two hands it sorta feels like a game controller. It would be awesome as an NES controller that doesn't have too many buttons.

It makes a lousy coaster for my coffee cup, since it's not level. :D
