Is it possible to fill in OTP / 2FA codes from the native Messages or Mail apps on my Mac into Google Chrome? In iOS, I am able to get Chrome to fill in the codes but I can't seem to do so in macOS.

Chrome on macOS doesn't hook into the AutoFill APIs that pull codes out of Messages/Mail — that's a Safari-only thing here. On iOS it works because the code shows up in the keyboard suggestion strip, which any browser (including Chrome) can accept. On macOS, Chrome talks to its own password manager, not Apple's, so it never sees those codes.

Only workarounds I've found that don't drive me crazy: do the actual 2FA step in Safari and switch back, or keep Raycast/Alfred's clipboard history open and fish the code out of Messages as soon as it lands. I mostly do the Safari-just-for-2FA dance.
