OtterBox Armor

Otterbox said multiple times in their twitter feed that the armor series will be announced at 12:30 PST on Jan 8 at CES.

Totally agree with you on this one! Other companies have also degraded in quality as well. The quality of the Commuter is also degraded and they made the lightning port so small that nothing but the cable will fit yet they could have made it wide enough for the adapter and 3rd party with out degradation of the case. Sad to see such quality go to heck!

Your issue with the clip is minor and really has nothing to do with the quality of the case. The iPhone 5 defender case is their best yet. The silicone doesn't stretch out and really keeps it shape.

How is the case not ready yet? The iPhone 4/4s has been out so long but the case isn't going to available for over a month? The iPhone 5 later this year?!? The next iPhone will probably be out before then.

I understand needing to test the case and produce them but come on.
 
I'm not at all impressed with the looks of this case or the lack of availability of iP5 model. Suddenly my Lifeproof case doesn't look so bad. I think the Lifeproof will suit my needs just fine especially since they are slowly but surely improving the case.

iP4/4S model not available until the end of Feb? Unbelievable. Based on this, I guess we can assume that the iP5 model won't be available until late summer or early fall.

Where are you guys coming up with that the iPhone 5 case wont be out until later in the year? I signed up on the page like your supposed to, and then got an email. At the bottom it very clearly states "We're proud to announce the Armor Series will be available for purchase on February 22 for iPhone 4/4S and iPhone 5. The Samsung Galaxy S3 availability will be announced in future email communication." So the iPhone 4/4s and the 5 case will be for sale on 2/22. The Galaxy S3 is going to be the one waiting.

The pictures make it look pretty nice. But I'm keeping my eye on the Incipio Atlas. It has a glass tempered screen instead of the crappy plastic ones that cause problems with the lifeproof and defender.

I agree. I really am waiting for this one as well. Hope it's not so bulky like the otterbox seems to be.
 
Can someone with actual knowledge explain what they mean when they say it can only be submerged for 30 minutes? If we're just bringing it to the pool and going in and out within the course of a few hours, that shouldn't matter right? Or maybe snorkeling in the ocean right at sea level. I understand the farther you go down in the water, the more pressure there is. But if you're right around sea level, why would it matter how long you're submerged?
 
looks super bulky- Im gonna have to see this in person before making a decision...

The first thing I saw before I got the email was that the 4/4s case would be Feb 22 and the 5 and Samsung would be later this year.

That appears to have changed. I'm still baffled how this case is still over a month away from being available.

Does anyone have tech specs to compare to LifeProof?
