I had read somewhere that the Otterbox Defender like cases may not fit due to a small increase in thickness of the iPhone 6S+. I read that the increase is very minimal and most cases would still fit, but not the Defender. Right after I pre-ordered my iPhone 6S+, I pre-ordered my 6S+ Defender Otterbox. I received the case several days ago and it has a sticker on it that says for 6+/6S+. So I'm concerned that it is not going to fit right.

I currently have an iPhone 5 & the case has made small scratches on the aluminum corners...

My previous iPhone. A 4, I think had a problem with the Otterbox Defender. It said it was compatible with the white iPhone when I purchased it, but after I noticed a problem with the censor I contacted them. Their otterbox was indeed not compatible with the white. I guess there was a slight change to the white that made it incompatible. They suggested a hack of removing a portion of the built in screen protector would fix the problem meanwhile they sent me a refund check.

So I don't know about this Defender fitting the 6+ & the 6S+.

Interested to hear if anyone has tried it yet.

I ordered mine through Otterbox and the one I received says its for the iPhone 6+ along the front bottom of the box with a sticker near the front top that's says iPhone 6s+ compatible. The part number on the bottom edge of the box is 77-52236. It fits perfectly.

Here's what I got, but your packaging looks more updated than mine. You should be fine, worse case scenario it doesn't fit then you send it back.

I ordered one directly from Otterbox last week. Same here it fits the 6s plus perfectly. I tried the one from my 6 plus briefly and it seemed to fit as well although maybe a bit tighter. I didn't want to risk damaging the new phone so I just moved on. I have another color Otterbox for the 6 plus, I will eventually go back and try that one as well since I've noticed Otterbox cases don't always all fit exactly the same with some having more play than others.

My 6S+ fits in the Otterbox Ive been using on my launch 6+ without a problem. Even bought a new one labeled just for the 6+ and its seems fine.

Can someone post some side pics of the phone in case as well? I'm debating if I should get this case. How does it feel? Does the phone move around in the case and how r the screen shields this Time around ?
Also why don't any Apple stores carry otter box ?

Thanks

The phone feels fine in the case. No squeaking like i have had with some other Otterbox cases in the past. Also, the screen shield fits fine in this version unlike otner times that it hasn't fit right. Usually i pop out the screen and use a glass protector though.

Just picked up a pink defender and had the complaint many, many had on the website... one OB says can be remedied by putting the phone back in the case.... that's the space between their screen protector and the screen. NO amount of phone adjustment in the case will fix this issue. I ended up taking it out like many others and will simply put my own protector on their. Rather crap design that is an obvious issue judging from the complaints after complaint about the issue.

Hmmmm not sure why yours works and many others don't..... Is there some kind of manufacture date on your box?

While not an Otterbox, I picked up Brillotech's Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro for my 6S+. It was marked for both the 6+ and 6S+. It fits perfectly. For the price it is hard to beat.
