OtterBox just released their pursuit series for the 7 and 7 plus. Seemed relatively thin and they claim it's their most durable case to date, even more so than the defender. Listed at $80 for the 7 plus. Will have to take a look at it when it comes out.

Besides it being a case does it do anything else? I just got their universal case and love it due to it's modular design. I already bought a battery that can slide on or off it. The case itself was just $50 at Best Buy.

It's a sealed case. In essence, similar to a waterproof but not marketed that way. It's available for the 7 and not the plus yet.

the black for the 7 plus is in stock and now ordered. I should have it shortly as I paid for advanced shipping since I am going out of town shortly and I want to give this a run. Ill report back

Can anyone tell if this is thinner than the symmetry
Tough to tell. Kind of intrigued by it since they say it's more durable than the defender. Also, as silly as it is, I am excited for the lanyard. Heading to Disney in a few days and am looking forward to that aspect. Yes, I am that guy ;)

I thought the lanyard was tempting for sightseeing when I would expect to be using the camera frequently. I would use a long cord and hangs the phone around my neck. Right now I have my iPhone 7 in an otterbox commuter with a screen protector installed by Apple. It looks as if the screen saver here is an integral part of the case so I'll be waiting to find out if that's correct.

It looks like it was built open to utilize case friendly screen protectors. I have the apple one as well. So I will post back once I receive the case but I believe it will work.

Got it today. However, they are sending me a new one as this one won't secure around the power button and volume buttons. It seems nicely built however.

So it's thinner than the symmetry ? How does the plastic and rubber feel will it hold up to wear and tear ? Can u do a video

Damn it!! I want to get this case so bad!! So the dual cameras are protected?? And there's no screen protector?

Correct. I still have my belkin from the Apple Store.

They are sending me a new one since this isn't perfect. Nice case though.

Ok, so now I have a few minutes to provide a little insight

Pros:
  • exceptionally thin, the same thickness as the symmetry
  • speakers- no diffusion in sound at all. First time I have seen a OB case with forward facing speakers
  • silent switch- same design as the LP NUUD. Works perfect every time
  • open screen- allows for me to keep my glass SP
  • edges have a lot of angular texture, creates a grip on a smooth surface
Cons:
  • back material is ok, not as "grippy" as the symmetry
  • doesn't fit 100%- OB customer service had no real reason why, but were very accommodating and I already received shipping confirmation
  • port plug- do not like the design at all and think that it will rip off eventually
  • it requires a coin to open and the coin leaves dents in the plastic. this is covered by the port plug in, but see above
Really nice case, but not worth $80 for sure. The insist that it is more durable than the defender, which is amazing. I will be putting this through the paces in Disney World next week.

Just gonna wait here till you put that case to the test.

Ill try the video at some point.

As of right now, its more commuter like, but I will be able to get a clearer picture after the testing next week :)

I'm currently rocking the Nuud. And I love it. You mean this one is better!!!???

Found this case at my local Walmart in Va Beach, Va for $69.97. Bought it. Tried it and immediately returned it. I'm gonna stick with my life proof nuud case.

Just felt cheap and it made it seem like the rear camera was covered. But it wasn't.

Lifeproof nuud case is simply the best compared to many and all other cases. Excellent design and water and other protection to show my beautiful, sexy, attention getter and eye catching product red iphone!!

No other cases can beat current lifeproof nuud case for iPhone 7 and 7 plus!!

The back of the nuud scratchs like crazy and looks like crap after a while... the otterbox pursuit is just a much thinner defender replacement , not a water proof case, plus the 7 plus and 7 have water resistance
