Hi I reviewed the OtterBox uniVERSE case for the 6s Plus recently and was impressed with the case. If you like the OtterBox Symmetry, you will probably be happy with the uniVERSE case--they are very similar. Here's my video review:

I bought it. I absolutely love this case. I bought both the battery pack and the wallet module. I'm absolutely loving them. The wallet especially. Over the years I've tried several wallet cases. The problem is that I don't want the bulk when I don't need it. Same for the battery cases. With the universe case I can take off the modules and have a nice slim case. This case rocks!

It has a thick lip at the bottom on the sides. While it is technically exposed the bottom would still be protected

I agree. It isn't totally protected by any means, but as long as the hit occurred all the way across the bottom, it would be protected. It would be vulnerable to a hit right in the middle, however...
