Hi there,

When the UMBP arrives what's the best thing to do?
Should i start installing all my app's or should i start with a clean install of the OSX?

Take your pick.
If it's your first Mac, you might as well just do a clean install just to witness the OS X install process... unless you think that's too nerdy of a thing to do.
Clean installs are always nice to do, but it IS a brand new machine.
I just got my first one, but I waited about a week to do a fresh install.
 
?? defragmenting is fine if you are moving huge data blocks around like videos. ive used iDefrag and turns out it made my Mac boot faster. but it probably isnt nesessary for a novice user.

OS X automatically defrags data but under a certain size (cant remember).
