Out of Town During iPhone Release

So I am headed to Vegas for work during the iPhone release. Would I be able to go to the Apple store there and upgrade my iPhone on release day or do I have to wait to return home and buy it in NJ?

I was going to ask the same thing, but my question was regarding the AT&T store. Can I pre-order via AT&T online and pick up at the store I will be near? I'm from California but will be in Maryland.

You can get it while on vacation.

I did that last year with the 3GS release.

I'm in the same boat as both of you guys. We blow. I'll be in Orlando on vacation with my mom and we're both planning on getting the iPhone 4. We're thinking about preordering it from Apple and then picking it up at the Millenia Apple Store down there. 😱 Kind of scary I feel like, but the mall is only 5 miles from where we'll be.

That store gets reallllllly packed!
But I am sure you'll get it here as it seems like a place that sells a lot, therefore would carry a lot of stock.
