hey all,

I've searched around for a solution to this but I can't find anything that describes what I want. I have a ton of email and a good amount of contact information in Outlook 2003. I'm switching to a Powerbook very soon, but I will not have my PC with me when I do. I moving all of my personal files to an external hard drive and then reformatting the PC and setting it up for my mother to use. I'm leaving it here when I go home on Sunday. What do I do? I saw in another post on macmentor.org that I could use Outlook 2 Mac, but a Google search didn't seem to turn up anything, so I don't know what that is, and I'd rather not spend money on it. There was also suggestion to look up something on SourceForge.net. The best thing I could find wasOutlook to unix mail (at least as far as I can tell, maybe someone knows of something better). What about the Mozilla mail option? How do I do that? Do I have to deal with my contacts separately? Or is the best thing for contacts just to write the info down and add it again on the Mac? Thanks

sps

The best answer to your question can be found here

This discussion post in slashdot covers all of the answers. Your best bet is simply to create an IMAP server and use it to get all your mail. Until Microsoft changes there will be no easy access between Outlook and Macintoshes.
