//edit: I dragged the docs/microsoft user data/ folder to the trash and reinstalled again and now it and the other parts of Office are fine.

But what about psts? Still can't export from the HP to a stick, import and get them to show up in the inbox and none are older than Office 2007.

How are you attempting to get the PST files to show up in the inbox? IIRC you have to do File > Open instead of double clicking or dragging...

I don't have a file>open option on the menu bar. I tried exporting everything in my personal folders and also just the inbox, no subfolders. The imported folders show up on the left below the standard ones.

When importing from the stick, the window pops up and ticks off all the subfolders and closes, so the messages are there somewhere.

i think a service pack just came out, might want to try that.

Yes, I did that also. I then re-imported but it didn't make any difference.
