Outlook 2011; mail was sent but not in 'sent items'

Using Outlook 2011, running on 10.7.3 (lion) my email was sent but not in 'sent items'.

I spoke with client today and they received the document. However it is not in my sent items. Anyone got any ideas?

How is your email configured (IMAP, POP or Exchange) and who is the provider?

IMAP, and don't really want to post online who my provider is for security reasons .

I don't understand why some that are sent are staying in the sent folder and others are just disapeering??

To shorten this thread go to Preferences>Accounts and let us know your settings (you can change the info in the blanks to something generic like "dal123@dal123.com" for privacy).

Be sure to include everything that's in "more options" and "advanced".

Thanks Brian, very kind of you to offer with this. I cannot post this sort of stuff online; it's too risky.
Many thanks again. I'll take it somewhere and get them to sort it out when I'm not so busy. It just seems to be happening intermittently.
