I've been using Outlook 2016 (Outlook for Mac) since it was released not long ago. The version I have installed should be the latest, 15.8.1 (150311). Let me describe my problem.

I have a meeting on my calendar. It took place today March 31st at 9:30 AM EST. Yes, that was the actual time of the meeting. It is showing on my calendar in the week view (same for day view) as 9:30 AM EST on the correct day. This meeting was sent from someone located in the UK and the time for them would be 1:30 PM UTC. I should note that right now it is only a 4 hour difference (not 5 hours) as their daylight savings time takes place on a different day.

So far everything checks out.

When I open the meeting notice it lists the start time as 1:30 PM and end time as 3:00 PM. Below that it says the time zone is UTC. Outlook even gives me a warning that the meeting starts at 9:30 AM in my computer's timezone [See attachment].

I don't understand why Outlook displays the meeting in the scheduled time zone versus mine. Is anyone else having this problem? Any ideas of how to solve this? I've tried searching google and I generally get links related to Outlook 2011. If figured I'd give one of my favorite Mac site's forums a try. I also tried searching here and didn't find anything related.

I should also clarify the following facts:

- I all of my meetings scheduled from the UK are displaying this way
- I opened outlook 2011 for Mac and everything is just fine
- I opened outlook on my windows machine and everything is just fine
- I am on OS X 10.10.2

Did you create the meeting in Outlook for Mac?

No, the meeting was created by someone in the UK. I doubt they used Outlook for Mac. I should also note the follow facts that I'll add to my post above if the forum let's me.

An update to Outlook 2016 was issued today - it fixed several time zone-related issues for me and my partners.

The update is 15.18.2 which is newer than what I have now. I am downloading it but for some reason it is taking a really long time. The fix says it only addresses 1 time zone issue but I'd expect there is more. I'll let you know. Thanks for the tip.

"Fixes an issue in which the Free/Busy availability of others may be shifted by an hour after the start of daylight saving time."

I also have this issue too!

See if you can find out how the problem events are being created...specifically if they're doing it on an iOS device on iOS 8.

There's something amiss with Exchange events created on my iPhone. When I sync the calendar as read-only on Google or Yahoo (the only way you can sync it is read-only) events are showing up (currently) 4 hours ahead of when they're supposed to happen.

Your issue is probably different but it would be good to rule this out.

Ok, I installed the latest update. I am now on the 15.8.2 release. I still have the issue, it has not been resolved.

I have same issue on Outlook 2016 v15.9

I'm having the same issue, except I'm not dealing with anyone in Europe. I have set defaults everywhere I can find to the Eastern time zone. When I open most of my meetings, it shows in UTC with a note stating it's different on my computer. For my meetings, I'm able to change it and it seems to stick. I can't change meetings that others have invited me to though. Thoughts?

Which version of Exchange Server is being used? 2010 SP2 and greater is required for these betas - it's in the release notes. None of the posts refer to which version of Server is being connected to; I assumed in my earlier post the minimum requirements listed in the release notes were being met.

In Outlook 15.9 I have no issues with US or EU zone meetings/appointment scheduling. Server 2013 CU 8 and Office 365 here.

I have the same issue, now with Version 15.11.
Some appointments have the wrong time, but they are created by my colleagues in the same office.

I've been having the same issues, but here's a new bug that appears:

If you schedule a meeting for 10:00am, it shows up as "1:00am". The zero drops. 11 shows up correctly. So does 12.

Anyone know where/how to submit a bug report?

I have confirmed it works with the latest version that was just release (official release, 15.11.2, 150701)

I'm not sure why I said this, I also still have the problem.

I am having this problem as well.

Running Microsoft Outlook for Mac version 15.21.1 connected to my corporate Exchange Server.

Whenever I create a new meeting with my iPhone (iOS 9.3.1), it appears in the UTC time zone in Outlook and I get a warning that the event starts in my computer's time zone.

Both the Mac and the iPhone are set for New York (Eastern time zone).

When the meeting is opened in Outlook 2016 (PC version), it appears correctly, so the issue is with the Mac.

Happens on all three of my Macs (iMac, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air) plus my co-workers have the same issue.

Any idea how to get the Mac to display the appointments correctly in my time zone?

[doublepost=1464036175][/doublepost]I was having the same issue, although I was not using Outlook for Mac (I'm using the native Mail App). I fixed it by changing the timezone to manual (unchecked "set time zone to automatically using current location) under System Preferences > Date & Time > Time Zone. Select your time zone and closest city.

I am seeing the same problem today and have been tackling it since March. I work in the IT Dept for my company and have spent many hours on the issue. This will be a long post so here's the

SHORT VERSION:

- create appointment on the iphone, it shows correctly on the phone and in the "day" view of Outlook 2016 BUT when you open the appointment in Outlook it tells you the appointment starts at a different time.

LONG VERSION

The symptoms are:

·Create appointment on user's iPhone (or user's PA's iPhone in user's calendar)

·The appointment seems to show in Outlook Mac at the correct time (and in OWA)

·When you open the appointment in Outlook Mac it shows the message in the attached screenshot AND changes the time by an hour

·Thus if the user updates or saves it, it changes the time of the apt

·If you create the appointment in Outlook, the Time Zone is UTC Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London

·If it comes from the phone it always changes to UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) and that seems to be what causes the problem

I cannot replicate on my own iPhone and Mac – mine always works fine.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

·Reinstalled Mac Office to the latest build 15.24 (was 15.18 – mine is 15.23)

·Updated the iphone to 9.3.2 (Mine is iOS 10 Beta)

·Updated the Mac to 10.11.5 (mine is 10.11.6 Beta)

·Checked the Time Zone settings in

-Outlook Web App

- User's Microsoft Account that Mac Office uses to sign in

·Reconfirmed all the timezone settings are set to UTC Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London

- On the iPhone (in SETTINGS, GENERAL, DATE & TIME and also in SETTINGS, MAIL, CALENDAR, TIMEZONE OVERRIDE)

- On the Mac

- In Outlook

·Removed the calendar from user's iPhone and resynced it

·I checked my iCloud account to see if there are any Time Zone settings in there – there are, but even when I changed mine I couldn’t replicate the issue

·Checked the built in Mac Calendar (which the user doesn’t use) to see if there were Time Zone settings in there (there are and I turned them on but it made no difference so I turned them off again)

Finally I called Apple who helped but said they believe it to be a bug in Office and gave me a link to this forum and the contact number for MS.

Did anyone end up getting a solution on this issue? I have one person in the office that has the same thing, and I haven't been able to recreate.

I get the same thing. It is NOT however only limited to new appointments created with the same user's iphone. ANY appointments that he is invited to = not created on his own Mac 2016 Outlook - the time zone is set to UTC.
It gives the warning, but if he wanted to change it, it would be all messed up unless he goes in and changes the Time Zone on the calendar entry.

Another clue that might help someone. Every time I go into his Date/Time settings on the System Preferences of his MacOS, Outlook will pop up a message saying "The time zone setting for your computer has changed. Would you like to update the time zone setting in Outlook?" with an update and Don't Update buttons. But - I haven't changed the time zone.. I just opened up the preferences.

which OS are you on? My user is on el Cap so was hoping an upgrade might be the solution.
