Outlook.com, Internet Accounts and Multifactor Authentication

Morning/Afternoon all,

Am currently running 'High Sierra', and even prior to that OS, this was still an issue.
Do you...

- use Outlook.com?
- do you have Mutifactor Authentication (MFA) or Two factor authentication turned on, on your Outlook.com account?
- do you have an iMac, and thus have that email account added to your Internet Accounts section, within settings?

If so, how were you able to get it to work? No matter what I try, it never prompts for the MFA code, and thus I can never log/add my email account to my iMac.
I can log into my email account via Safari, Chrome, etc. But, not add my account to Internet Accounts.

Hmm, good idea, I’ll look into that.

But, I also noticed that after installing High Sierra yesterday, my Outlook 2016 app isn’t supported. Very weird...

Make sure you have the latest Outlook 2016 which is v15.39.

After installing the above, and using @Howard Ellacott 's idea of an app password, I am now able to get into Outlook 2016, and even more so, add my account!
