Over the past few months I've noticed that my default email address changes to an ALIAS or SEND AS address of that default address. It's like this: I have a LIVE.COM email address which is primary and has been for 10 years. I have 2 SEND AS addresses (other live accounts that also forward to) the primary address. I have an ALIAS of the primary address. Through the MAIL settings, my default address is the LIVE.COM address and it displays correctly. When I go into MAIL > ACCOUNTS it displays the alias or send as address. Also when sending a new email, it displays the alias or send as address. I can only speak for LIVE.COM email accounts for now. I am wondering if any other users have something similar with Gmail or Yahoo. I know with an ICLOUD.COM email, you can turn off aliases through iOS settings. This has happened when setting up a mail account using OUTLOOK.com on iOS. A few weeks ago I removed the mail account and set it up again using EXCHANGE this time. I haven't seen the issues mentioned above as of now. Any thoughts at all about this? It's very sporadic. This is on a 7+ running 10.2.1.
