The frequent locations feature showed up for the first time in the notification centre on my iPhone 5 today.

I looked at my phone at 17:01 and it said it would take 17 minutes to get home. I thought it was talking crap 'cause I rarely ever get home before half past five... I got home at 17:18 on the dot.

I'm under no illusions it will be this accurate every time :p How is everyone else finding it?

Always been quite accurate for me. Sometimes, I'll leave work and it will say it will take me 28 minutes to get home. Then, half way through my drive, I'll check again and it will say Traffic is unusually heavy at this time - it will take you 25 minutes to get home. And boom, a few minutes later, I'm in traffic and it's updated time is right (there are frequent accidents on the highway I commute on - it seems to do a pretty good job of updating as soon as it's aware of a backup).

Been quite accurate for me for the past 3 months.

Mine tells me that my 25 mile journey home along the motorway would take me 4 hrs 28 mins (it took about 35 mins)

Mine still doesn't work. Anyone else not ever seeing this feature running? I tried turning off the frequent locations and turning them back on, and tried to turn off "today view" or whatever it's called and back on again. Still nothing. Been using ios 7 since the official release.

Can someone confirm that this feature does not work if you commute by public transportation (in Europe)?

As far as I know, Apple has not connected their frequent locations service to any public transport company's live timetables. US, Europe or otherwise.

I installed the GM about a week before the public release came out, and yesterday was the first time frequent locations showed up for me. So it does take a while.

Give it time if it hasn't been as long as that for you.

No, it's in Notification Centre. It tells you how long it'll take to get to home, work, or anything else you visit regularly.

Oh wow. Is there something you need to enable to use this feature and can somebody post a screenshot of what it looks like? I've never heard of this feature before.

Thanks

It's pretty smart, and learns where you're going. For example, on a Monday and Tuesday afternoon I drive to a town about 30 miles away, and on a Monday and Tuesday morning it tells me how long it'll take to go there. Likewise, when I'm leaving there, it'll tell me how long it'll take me to get home, because it knows I'm going home afterwards.

Thank you, i've never heard of this feature. Just checked and this service is not available on the iPhone 4 :(

When you look at your frequent locations, does it show you at home and work quite a few times? Do you have a consistent pattern or do you bounce around a lot daily?

To be fair, I have been moving around a lot. Since I installed iOS 7 I've been out of the office working a lot, plus I've also been looking at apartments on the weekends. I still thought it would provide me times it would take to get home though (I've registered the most 'frequent locations' at home easily), but it hasn't done it yet for me.
