HomePod OV HomePod longevity?

I’ve just purchased a OG HomePod and have read about the reliability issues.
Are there any settings I should enable or disable to make it last longer?
I have read that heat is it’s biggest issue so is there anything I can do to mitigate that?

No. Just enjoy it for as long as it lasts, and you never know, it could be years.

I have two OGs, they sound great and I’ve had them since launch. Enjoy

My four OGs are still going strong (the first one was purchased in late 2018 and the last one in early 2020). Although, I use mine simply as airplay speakers (no Siri).

I am with everyone else... don't worry and just enjoy the experience!

I have four and they are fine. A while back there was reputed to be a firmware version that gave heat issues, but I never had trouble and it appears resolved.
