Guys,

Just wondering if its worth over clocking my iMac, does it make much of a difference? and is it safe?

Not worth it. Since you're asking and don't provide any helpful information about what you use your machine for, it's probably going to do more harm than good.

I used to overclock PC's back in the 1990's. I don't mess with any of that now as I feel the speeds and multiple cores are more than adequate to meet all my needs. I just don't see it as worth much value in productivity. I think the only reason for doing so now is just for bragging rights. Just my opinion. 🙂

My reason for OC'ing is to gain 5-10fps in games, which is often the difference between playing at 1080p or managing 1440p.

No bragging rights at all, just my own enjoyment.

750Mhz/1075Mhz works for me on the GPU.
