Oh that is a pipe dream, my friend. I admire your sentiment but it just ain’t ever gonna happen.. We will just have to find another way to augment our economy/jobs besides waiting on the major consumer electronic brands. I quit holding my breath on that one some time ago now.

the “look” is simply ‘Designed by Apple in Cupertino’ or ‘Designed by Apple’. Where it’s built or assembled never really mattered.

Apple may be an American brand but it’s not bound to America only in the same way that Ford, General Motors or Goodyear have been. Ford took decades to get significant sales outside of the USA.

Labour is cheaper in Vietnam. Apple profit per unit will be even higher in Vietnam than in China, but a cheaper price won't be passed on to consumers. Rockin' the Beats Solo Pro at the moment, I'll check these out anyway.
The only reason for me to purchase Apple headphones is the H1 chip, nothing else.

Apple has little or no commitment to helping US workers. Jobs are desperately needed and yet they keep moving to Asia. The mac desktop being made in Arizona is minuscule market and just an empty gesture in the scheme of how much they produce outside.
Shame on you Apple !
Boycott Chinese made products! Chinese manufacturing bashing is right! but moving to another country and not bringing it back to US is shameful by apple.
