Over One Million iPhone 3G S Models Sold on Launch Weekend

Went to the Apple Store in the mall my wife works in this morning, got there at 08:30 - had a 10:00 am Shopping Appointment, told them I was there to get 3GS Phones. "no 3GS in stock". I told them I would wait outside. There was a lovely padded couch just outside the store. Hung out there, made a "line buddy" and we chatted guitars, fine wine and things iPhone, this would be his THIRD version... 10:15 a nice young lady comes out and takes our names, tells me I am FIRST in line, he SECOND... 10:35 they come out to see if we are ok... At 11:20 I get introduced to my assistant who walks me thru the buy and activation process. I got my wife a white 32GB and me a BLACK... Also got a Airport EXTREME, a new mouse, some anti scratch screen covers and a car charger... I was in there about 40 minutes to do two phones an the other purchases.

Man setting up the Airport Extreme was a breeze. We would be toast here without the Extreme... I tired using my phone all over the house without it, Not Gonna Make It... Activaed the Extreme and I can be on the web on my iMac, my wife and I can both be downloading APPS and no hassles... Tomorrow when it is not raining I'll test online access out near one of the chicken coops....

WHAT an amazing experience. Have had a Verizon RAZR for years, what a leap in speed, technology and can I dare say COOLNESS....

I wonder how many phones were sold to new customers who never had an ihine before.

That'd be me. Until december 2008, I didn't have a single apple product at home, not even ipod. Now I'm typing this from my aluminum macbook, I have a badly scratched 30gb ipod in my car's glovebox that I control from my steering wheel buttons (got it from my buddy for free), and just got the iphone 3gs to replace my nokia n95 on friday. Nokia still had a better camera and tethering, and voipover 3g, but I'll live with the 3gs camera, and I already enabled tethering, just waiting for jailbreak for voip over 3g.
