Marco recently said that iOS 11 and watchOS 4 broke this feature. And since the feature had tons of issues, and workarounds he had to use to get it to work, that he was going to be removing the feature for now. He said if in the future the technology makes it easier and more reliable to implement he will re-implement it. So for now the feature is gone.

thankyou so much for your replies. I am absolutely devastated Absolutely loved this feature & was why swapped to overcast. very grateful for your time- wish I posted a week ago instead of spending all that time trying to fix

If by any chance there is any other app that provides this feature would love to hear
WatchPlayer and Watchcast both offer this feature but they will only work until you upgrade to Apple Watch software version 4. Once you do, the way they worked will be shut off by Apple.
