thanks Beigean. i was just about to point out that it is a bit more than a 66MHz increase. think about it - you can have a TiBook with speeds faster than are currently available, all for the price of a 667.
also, if you were someone who was into OC'ing, could you grab a bunch of 667's and tweak them, and then sell them? assuming you were confident about your modifications, you could sell them with a warranty. what would Apple think of this?

and on the subject of OC'ing PCs, i read in a PC magazine about someone who OC'ed theirs. they must have wanted some serious performance out of it because they took it out of the case and put it in a refigerator. i might get around to trying that one of these days.....

Just watch out for condensation...

For an absolutely EXTREME OC, check out this article from The Screensavers:

yeah!! Liquid Nitrogen!!!!!

wow, thats pretty COOL that they used Liquid nitrogen. but i would've expected that there would have been speed gains of way more than 500MHz, especially when using liquid nitro. maybe they were playing it safe and didn't want to fry the whole thing.

here's one thats a bit more of a speed gain - a 2.2GHz P4 OC'ed to 3GHz. here's the link, check it out:http://www.geek.com/news/geeknews/2002mar/chi20020314010731.htm

this is pretty recent - posted 9:17am EST Thu Mar 14 2002. this looks like it will be the first commercially available PC to break the 3GHz barrier.

i just found another site with heaps of extremely OC'ed PC's.http://www.vr-zone.com/guides/Intel/Northwood/
how about a 2.4GHz P4 OC'ed to a massive 4.1GHz!!!!! :D those Japanese guys are pretty crazy!!:)
