OWC 6G SSD -- Only 2011 SATA III can take advantage?

Can a 2010 MacBook Pro with SATA II take full advantage of the new OWC 6G SSD drives, or would I be better off going with the 3G model? Are the 6G drives only designed to work at full capacity with the 2011 MacBook Pros and iMacs?

Much help would be appreciated. Thanks!

No sata 2 does not support the sata 3 throughput. Unles you are planning on moving it out again to a newer computer in the future. Get a sata 2, 3gbps ssd and save yourself som money

Well if you aren't going to be replacing your drive anytime soon, then get the 3G.

However, unless you were getting a SATA 6Gbps drive, I'd recommend the Intel 320 over the 3G. The 320 has a five year warranty compared to the 3G's three year warranty.
