I find the price a bit excessive for a bracket so I am asking if anyone found a cheaper and as good alternative to the OWC Data Doubler Alternative?

These can work fine, just make sure you get the right height and the right screw holes for your model. Also, I found on the cheaper ones, the holes aren't always drilled with total precision, I had to apply a bit of force to get all mine in.
