The 5 year warranty on the higher end model is what would make me go for that one. I doubt you'd notice any speed difference. So the warranty, and the ability to do a RAID 0 set (if you are so inclined) are the selling points of the high priced model, IMO. If neither of those two features blow your hair back, go for the cheaper one.
