This product is crap. I have it. So many issues I unplugged it and leave it in a drawer. Want mine?

Same. This post is a reminder that I need to fish that out and go drop it off at a thrift store. Get it out of storage/taking up space.

Had one of those - extremely unreliable and kept dropping USB connections due to low energy passthrough. Ended up getting a CalDigit hub; way more stable.

I agree. OWC in general has very iffy reliability and lifespan in my experience. I don't recall anything except simple x4 NVMe PCIe adapter which survived warranty period without issues.

That aside, with docks like this, it annoys me greatly using unreliable mDP instead full size. Somehow nobody uses mHDMI except photography if even that.

I've been using two 4-disk ThunderBay 4 RAIDs for 11 years, 24/7. I've replaced the HDDs a couple times, of course, but otherwise these things are tanks

Powered name brand Thunderbolt 4 hubs are ~US$95, and that even includes a free USB-C to HDMI dongle and AC adapter.

I've also seen them cheaper on sale last year.
