Is your keyboard lying flat in every spot? If watch the video, you can see that while the right and left parts of the keyboards touch the table and are quite stable, the middle part of the keyboard gives in a little bit if pushed. Is this normal? Not the end of the world, but slightly annoying on such an expensive accessory. Thanks

 
Looked at plenty in retail stores and none seemed flat on the table. Really not an appealing product to me.

THanks, never tested them in retail stores. I remember the older keyboard for the iPad Pro 10.5 was pretty bad initially, it would be up on the side by half a cm! but eventually got it replaced and that model was a lot better.

I expected this new keyboard to be better frankly
 
Mine was flat and level (I didn’t measure with an industrial grade machine, but if it sat flat on my desk and table), and I had it for almost 8 months. On one table it did appear curved, but then I quickly realized it was the table itself that wasn’t perfectly flat. Unless you expose it to heat, I don’t really see this happening often.

When you close the folio onto the ipad screen, you should be able to tell fairly easily if there is any warping going on.

This is a good overall product, and I really didn’t have this complaint. It could be cheaper for what it is, but that is another discussion entirely.

For what it’s worth, this keyboard is only marginally better than the screen keyboard with practice. For long typing days I’ve switched to a Bluetooth (Magic Keyboard). Mine flexes as well but when typing I don’t press that hard.

Its hard to tell from pictures, but it doesn't look it sits flat on the screen. Looks like its slightly warped. I would get this looked at by Apple Store if its not too challenging in your area. I no longer have mine, so I can't give you a comparison picture. But I'm pretty picky with these things, and mine closed flush.

Personally for me, I completely disagree. The onscreen typing experience for me has always been torture. Only the split keyboard (which Apple removed now) made it tolerable.

This, and any other physical keyboard is miles better in speed and accuracy. I have the Magic keyboard now which is even better.

I have apple stores close to me, but they are all closed due to COVID at present. As a result apple support offered a mail in service. What I didn’t like is that when I send it in they would place a hold on my card, same value as a new keyboard. Since I have already spent my money on the keyboard, i really don’t understand why they would hold that payment on the card and only refund it if they acknowledge a defect.

Yeah, that is slightly sleazy for a trillion dollar company. They've lost a lot of generosity over the last 7 or 8 years of me purchasing their products. 'Old' Apple was fantastic to deal with and bent over backwards for you.
