Anyone know where/if this is available online anywhere? I can't find it anywhere. Their website lists some US dealers but I still can't find it on their websites. It looks pretty nice!

I love the looks of this, but yeah I can't find where to order it. All the angles seem really neat.

I wouldn't put anything SlimY in my iPad. ;)

Ozaki iCoat-Slim-Y+

I've only seen a German Wholesale site advertising these cases and it says 'coming soon'.

Have you seen the iLuv origami folio? I like that they have solid colors but based on the photos I've seen, it seems thicker than the iCoat-Slim-Y+ and covers the front of the iPad a tad more than I fancy. I could be wrong...it'd certainly be nice to see both of them in-person or at least a product demo...soon.

I am wondering what happened to the iCoat Slim Y+ review that was posted earlier. I asked some questions about it and now the thread is gone!

Reading this sent me off in search of one, it looks like exactly what I had envisions for protecting my iPad. But, like everyone else, I haven't been able to find anywhere selling it in the U.S.

I bought one today (I live in Singapore) and the smart cover function wouldn't work at all. The fitting is really good and I like it a lot but had to return it because of the cover. The magnet isn't strong enough to keep the cover closed when I turned it over :(

I'm sorry to hear that...wonder if it's a one-off or a design flaw. It would still be nice to test one out in-person but I've yet to hear back from Ozaki about when people could expect to see them in the UK and US and my online searches have not been very successful :(.

Watched the video on their site and was very impressed. I'd been considering the Incase Snap Case if they updated it for the new iPad since it gave additional viewing angles and secured the Smart Cover but I'd love to give a Slim-Y+ a try since it seems to fit all my needs in one design.

Hopefully the issue with sleep/wake was a one-of or was resolved after the previous poster. Anyone have any info on buying one in the US?

Based on what people are saying here: http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/i...coat-slim-y-smart-cover-new-ipad-3652603.html, it seems to not work well with the new iPad. Hopefully Ozaki will fix this very soon and have it available in the UK and US.

iLuv stand looks just like Ozaki!!!

The Origami folio of iLuv looks so much like Ozaki Y-Slim and is cheaper, wonder whats the difference? I like the Ozaki design better tho

I found the case!

I am currently trying to find a good case for my new iPad! I too love the Ozaki case, but it's not available here in the USA. But it appears this case is about to be released by Onguard.

http://www.k2wusa.com/onguard-triangus-case-coming-soon/

They also posted some pictures on their facebook page.

http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150647728526247.402021.160718571246&type=1

It looks really cool so I think I have found my new case. I just don't know when they will release it...soon I hope.

Finally! Found a non-Wholesale and U.S.-based company that sells the Ozaki cases. I sent an email asking about the sleep/wake function as it seems that some people have had issues with it on the new iPad (apparently no problems with the iPad 2) and have been returning them. I'll post what I hear back from them.

I emailed them too and this was their response:

"I have also read that the magnets do not work correctly, but have tried a few and the ones that I tried worked fine.

As for the difference between the Y and the Y++ they are the same model just from different suppliers.

As for the Y/++ models being from different suppliers, I am not sure that alone would account for the price difference. There must be a difference in the materials (not evident on the website, but they are different colors). Anyone else know the answer to this?

Just bought Slim-Y and wanna share some opinion

1. Really love the touch feel of the case
2. Very easy to fold in Y-shape (internal or external)
3. Stand firm either in landscape / portrait mode (touch the screen with some force in both mode with no issue)
4. Thin enough when i just hold it and flip over the cover to back.

Slim-Y: With stylus only
Slim-Y++: With stylus PEN

I bought mine last Sat and smart cover feature work without issue.

Just ordered one

Awesome! Thank you for sharing. I can't wait for this to be available in the US. Where did you get your case from?

Hi, thanks for the link. I hope you have luck in getting the case. That site seems to have really negative reviews with buyers saying the never receive ordered items (seller's response is that it is OOS), or that shipping ends up taking weeks vs. the 8-10 days they indicate.

Hi, I bought it from Hong Kong last week, and they just release the Slim-Y series while Slim-Y+ and Slim-Y++ will be release on early Apr here.

BTW, I've also research some other cases before and below my humble opinion (Price quote is in HKD)

1. Odoyo AirCoat for new iPad (retail $299, find the lowest one is $240 but no stock)
Pros: Slim compare to similar case with front & back cover, price acceptable
Cons: Landscape stand only, a bit think if you not use as stand

2. Back cover (~$150) + SmartCover ($298)
Pros: Slimmest and detachable Smartcover case
Cons: Around $450 (Backcover $150 + SmartCover $298), SmartCover stand not firm (for viewable angle), can't stand in portrait mode.

3. Back cover with rotatable and adjustable stand ($399, found at one shop only) + SmartCover ($298)
Pros: Back cover with 11 angel stand and could rotate either in portrait or landscape mode.
Cons: Expensive (~$700), got mechanic part so afraid to be broken after using for a period of time

4. Ozaki iCoat Slim-Y ($499)
Pros: Slim even compare to Aircoat, easy to flip in Y-shape, stand in portrait or landscape mode, light weight, with stylus holder (Slim-Y not included)
Cons: Expensive compare to Aircoat

As i state before, it depends on the main purpose of using the iPad, as the new iPad weight increase a bit, so my wife and I think we need a case to let iPad stand in portrait / landscape mode for reading newspaper, viewing photo, viewing video, FaceTime. :)

Slim-Y: With stylus only
Slim-Y++: With stylus PEN

Just to clarify,

The black part at the back cover of my Slim-Y is not actually a stylus (just pull it out and can't write! >_<)

So, only Slim-Y+ and Slim-Y++ come with Stylus pen~~

I bought another because I like the portrait and landscape view capability so much and the distributor has promised a 1-to-1 exchange to ones with working smart cover function when the new stock arrives.

So far, both covers I tried and another that my friend has doesn't have working smart covers (2 black and 1 red).

Just to clarify,

that is a plastic to cover the slot that you could slide in the stylus holder. Unfortunately my adonit Jot Pro couldn't fit into that stylus holder because the jot pro is slightly too thick.
