Took this last week but the selective lighting was front and center in my mind when I took the shot.

From yesterday. Intended to be part of a diptych, but fits here as well.View attachment 2227669

Lighting was actually heavily overcast. I underexposed by a stop, then I opened up the white point and darkened the blackpoint to get the effect I was after.

Southern catalpa growing next door: native to the southeastern United States
It's getting warm, up north....
You also have a lot of great variety!

My only comment is that I'd love to see you use the light more purposefully to highlight your subject. You've done a great job with the exposure in all of these, not having blown out bits, but I'd love to see you use the light in a way that spotlights your subject, rather than just dappling it. ❤️

In the English Garden in Munich, there is this spot where thanks to an engineering failure, an unofficial manmade urban surfing location has been created. I liked how the sun was shining through the trees in just the right spot when I was there this past week.

Well that's an interesting spot! Love the surfer laying down in the light.

This picture was taken a few minutes after sunset, at 10:17 PM, in southern Sweden. The flowers are Lilium bulbiferum (St. John's Lily). Their pollen are fatal for cats.
