if someone wants to reinstall only one software (or several) but not the whole panther or tiger package, there's a solution: Pacifist !!!
it allows you to install single packages from the intall cds. this isn't possible if you don't get pacifist. (i was stucked because i had deleted Mail.app software and i was looking for a way to reinstall it and someone told me about pacifist in a mac forum, and now it works again !!)

Agreed! 😀 I don't have the app anymore, but waaaay back in my Panther days 😉, I used Pacifist successfully and then promptly paid a shareware fee to encourage it's continued development!
