All this because they couldn't make a decent case to come with it, and something called a power button.
Being an actual owner of airpods max, I still see no reason for a power button. They turn on when on your head and off when not. To have to remember to turn it on and off every time would not be helpful one bit. Do your AirPods Pro have a power button? No. Not necessary.

This brand seems to get heavy coverage on this site. Personally not a fan of any of their products. In the context of them alway popping up here, I am wondering if I am the odd one out.
You're not. I get how MacRumors needs this sort of stuff to bring in revenue, but sometimes they list adverts that just seem ridiculous.

The day I see someone carrying their AirPods Pro in this teeny-tiny briefcase with the handle held in between their fingers is the day I can die in peace.

would go well with Zoolander’s teeny phone

So, I have to chime in and say that, though I don’t like all of P&Qs products from a design standpoint, they are very high quality and have excellent customer service. I have had one of their wallet cases in the past, and I just bought a wallet from them this past Christmas. They’re really a great company. Their bags are super expensive, so I probably won’t ever be getting one of those. I’m sure they’re made very well though.

LOL, no, because they are only charged/stored in the charging case.

I use my APM only occasionally, but enjoy them when I do. I use my Airpod Pros every day for hours for calls, so it's great they are always ready. I'd prefer waiting for the APMs to power up when I do want to use them over having to think about battery charge levels, so I would like the ability to power them off. Apple already put two buttons on it; just program in the functionality and people who want them always on can simply ignore that functionality.

I'm rarely put afoul by the lifestyles or perceived excess of others.

But if you're got the disposable coin for this entire mash up (headset and case) I seriously doubt we could take a subway ride together.
