Hi!

For the past few days I've been having a problem with Pages (version 5.6.1), and despite excessive googling and going through all the menus I just can not for the life of me figure out what is going wrong.

Whenever I create a new paragraph and change the style of a text before I start writing (like switching to a bold font, adding a bullet point, changing the font, etc), the moment I actually type any new text after having made the style changes it resets back to the standard 'body' paragraph style, completely dismissing whatever I altered beforehand.

Also, whenever I make a new paragraph and consequently change the text style, the following paragraph symbol appears first in blue at the spot of my new paragraph:

Basically, whenever I start typing when this symbol appears, it dismisses any style changes I've made, and deletes that paragraph line as a whole (moving the text located underneath up by one line).

I am not sure why this is happening all of a sudden, but it is very irritating and I hope someone knows how to fix this!
