Pages and Numbers documents not syncing to icloud and other idevices

I own Pages and numbers.

I have installed on my iPad2 and iPhone 4S. icloud is on for all idevices.

Unfortunately none of my documents are syncing up to iCloud at all.

I was at meeting over the weekend and took notes on my iPad but I cant see it in iWorks in iCloud or on my iPhone.

I dont get it?
