Pages Document Randomly Closed

So my mom was working on some big project for some six hours.. and she did not care to save her document in Pages that she was learning. Well for some reason, the file closed. Abruptly.. the same thing happend to me the first few times I used the application but now its sturdy and does not randomly close. Any ideas as to why it would happen?

2GB ram

A new document.. it has never been saved previously.

Okay, well open up Console in the Utilities folder and check the Pages crash log to see if anything interesting is listed there.
