1. I recently made a color brochure on Pages using a template. To save ink I want to print it in grayscale as a draft. I knew how to do that in Word but I can't find a similar function on Pages.

2. In starting a new document do I have to make a text box or can I just start typing?

3. When trying to change centered template text, the lines are not evenly spaced or run one line on top of another.

4. How do I change the background color?

Is there a resource with more detail about using the desktop publishing function in Pages? The help menu didn't answer these questions.

1. Greyscale/b&w printing will probably be an option in your Printer dialogue box. There is no option within Pages as fa as I know.

2. If you starting just a new blank page, you can just start typing. No need for a text box.

4. Which background colour do you want to change?
