I’m interested in getting one of the new Mac minis, the only issue I will have is my current setup.

I have my wife’s windows machine, as well as my work windows machine, that’s connected to a usb c dock. The issue I’ve got with apples gear is the fact it won’t pair with more than one Bluetooth device at a time.

If I had the trackpad and keyboard permanently connected to my dock with a USB cable, will this automatically pair them to each machine I connect? I understand it’s not actually a wired connection, I just don’t want to go through the trouble of having to pair every time I go to use a different device

When you connect an Apple keyboard/trackpad/mouse directly to a Mac using a cable it automatically pairs to that computer.
If you connect to another Mac it will pair to that, losing the previous connection.
I'm not sure if that works through a dock/hub. possibly not?
And I have no idea what happens if you connect to a Win PC most likely nothing will happen and the PC won't be recognised?
