Hi All,

I wanted simply capture PAL footage in FCP, but the camera I have is an NTSC camera - it plays the footage back fine, and I have a Canopus 110 unit, that I can set to PAL input, and I even see the preview screen showing me the PAL video, but it won't capture the footage at all...

I was hoping there was a way to do this, without having to use a PAL deck - that preview is such a tease! - the footage is great looking, and If I turn off "no controlable device, it will even go through the motions of capture, but if I hit esc to stop capturing, it errors and says something like - no File was created, or readable, and no clip is logged...

My HD shows a bunch of small files, which of course, don't open...

Any ideas?

Thanks

Why do you want to capture it in PAL?

If your footage is shot in NTSC you should capture it in NTSC. Then you can convert it to PAL afterwards if you want.
