I spend a lot of time typing on my MBP, usually with a watch on, what has caused some pretty nasty scratches on laptops of past. I've taken to using a palm guard, like the one Moshi sells, with pretty good success. Sadly, I just purchased the 15" 2016 MBP and haven't been able to really find any that don't have horrible reviews. Any suggestions, tips, or experiences on how the finish (space gray) holds up without one? Thanks!

Not a huge fan of wet applications to be honest. Do you have any personal experience with their products?

I do. Though I haven't installed the palm guards on my last couple of laptops. I used to be really paranoid about my watch, etc. But I haven't really found it to be an issue.

I did just order the top/bottom skins for my new 2016 though. My particular concern is the bottom, which has always been the part to get a couple scuffs, but I think it was like only $7 more to add the top skin too and I found a coupon worth $3 off. So top/bottom are on the way in matte.

Maybe they have improved since then, but it started to wear and I decided it was time to replace it. Except it wouldn't come off, even with applied heat. I had to pick and peel it and use Goo Gone to get all the remnants off. That was quite a number of years ago, so hopefully they have improved the adhesive since then.
