Palm rest cracking & inverter cable or board?

Palm rest? Are Apple still replacing them on MacBook White 2009?

And either my inverter cable or board has broken, the brightness works but only on 1 bar brightness but then when I turn it up the screen flickers and goes dark, would anyone know how much this would cost for the inverter cable or board to be replaced?

I just purchased a used unibody macbook (2009) and asked the same question a few weeks ago (I was originally looking at non-unibody models).

A few people have reported as recent as this week that apple has replaced to the topcase (palm rest) on their 2009 machine for free....but I'd do it fast as we all assume they'll quit doing this soon.
