Palm Rest Guard affecting screen?

I bought a palm rest guard from the apple store. I dont know the company's name but it isnt moshi. Its a little bit thicker than Moshi. I was wondering if it will cause any harm to my screen/hinges?

You should be fine, I have never heard of an issue with any palm guards affecting the screen or hinges.
