I've no idea why it wouldn't? A 4k tv isn't limited to accepting only devices that output at 4k. It should be able to take in anything that connects via hdmi.

Connected via Devolo home plugs, my AppleTV streams content from my Mac Mini to my Panasonic plasma.

This is ideally suited for viewing ripped movies, and photos.

a TV display should not be a replacement for a computer lcd...

while Ultra HD would give u better resolution... that would be kinda 'filling the gap as u won't be able to see the pixels at close range.."

On a TV u will always be able to see pixels at close range.. and using 4K display would basically take the idea away that a laptop has a better resolution.

that's kind of taking a 'short cut' to me.. but i connect my Mac mni up to 1080p display only when i need to.. The rest is done remotely. and HDMI cable gets disconnected..

Even if i had a Ultra HD display instead, it would not change this.
