Swedish waffles with Lingonberry marmalade and whipped cream!

heart-shaped grill FTW!

This. Excellent choice....

In general, I like somewhat savoury food, thus, when eating waffles, (or pancakes), I like fruit with a bit of tartness - say, cooking apples stewed with a bit of cream, or raspberries......

Any of those items needs to be made correctly from scratch to be any good.

I've always been partial to French Toast. I make it PDG. :)

I was about to ask you what PDG is, but then it dawn on me as "pretty darn good"? I must be getting old.:D

I love it with a lot of cinnamon.

I love it with a lot of cinnamon.

My dad taught me about Pretty Darn Good when I was like 6. Naturally, as I matured it started meaning Pretty Damn Great. :D

Yeah, I think it's the cinnamon that I like. A bit of nutmeg, a whiff of clove.

And REAL maple syrup. Don't +1 Mrs. Butterworth at my party.

French toast by a mile, but I use my dad's secret recipe when I make it at home. Cinnamon swirl bread and pancake batter instead of egg batter. Makes it amazing. Put some bacon on the side and its heaven on a plate.

Where's "none of the above" ?

All three of those are off my personal menu.

I spend too much time working out, training, and participating in strenuous & fun outdoor activities to take in high calorie foods like those three.

But that's just my choice. :)

Good thing the question wasn't "Why are you lame and why do you hate the following items" Otherwise your comment might fit into this thread.

I'd take french toast with waffles any day of the week.

Chose one of the follow:
a. Work out and don't enjoy and delicious food, so I can look like a model (one of the greatest joys in life)
b. Work out and enjoy delicious food in moderation. Still look good and enjoy great food.
c. Pig out and enjoy it, need a motorized cart to shop at walmart.

I'd pick B any day.

As do I. I'd never exclude something I love just because I'm trying to "stay fit". You don't have to eat a 16 oz sirloin every day to enjoy steak.

Oh man, this is a tough one. I am a huge fan of a nice, large waffle though :) French toast is good on occasion (my mother makes a wonderful stuffed french toast that is always delicious) and I enjoy making my own pancakes.

I think the easiest one of the three to make is french toast. I had a craving for waffles last night around midnight. I decided to make french toast instead as it is much easier. 1 egg, milk, water, and cinnamon for the egg batter. I didn't even have any sliced white bread left so I used a hamburger bun. It came out awesome.

This was my inspiration for this thread.

I like all 3, but I like pancaked the least. They have no contrasting texture. It's all mushy. With waffles and french toast, you get a nice crispy exterior.
