Pandora 3.1.12 just hit the app store. I installed it (updated from 3.1.11) on my iPhone 4 and tested with Pandora skip hack 3.1.11 and the hack still seems to be working (so far, so good).

What I did was:

1. Removed Pandora Skip Hack 3.1.11

2. Updated Pandora to 3.1.12 through the App store.

3. Re-installed the Pandora Skip hack 3.1.11

No need to respring or reboot.

Just thought I'd pass along the all clear. ;)

Thanks for the heads up. Will update because I've had a couple bugs with the artwork sometimes and hoping it's fixed.

thanks for the heads up was wondering if this was gonna work, love being able to ship as many times as i want

why do people always update pandora? doesnt it do when it came out? am i missing something?

Not exactly sure what you are saying ... but i can understand the first part of your question.

Why update? Because i have pandora one ... so ... uh ... whats it hurt?

I think some folks accidentally tap "Update All" within the AppStore (or one of their kids does), and end up with another version of Pandora.

But then again, by installing Update Hider, you never have to worry.

Thanks for letting us know. I'm still on 3.1.4 -

Also thanks to headcase for sharing "update hider" tweak, I never knew about it.

that update hider tweak never really works for me, the badge still shows up and when I go into appstore it just disappears/reappears again

I just Ifile and delete the itunes metadata

Something I've always been genuinely curious about; Why is it OK to discuss the Pandora skip hack here, but piracy is off limits?

Really? Common sense.... Piracy = your stealing apps .. they COST money and you are basically stealing them (hence "pirating them")...

With pandora skip hack .. the pandora app is free and service is free .. unless you pay for it .. then your just violating your own terms you agree'd to (sure you agree to these on a free account but if its free and you lost it .. doubt you care as much) so your only risking your account with them .. your not stealing from them like you do with a pirated app...

If that's what helps you sleep at night, but it's still music piracy. Pandora has to pay the distribution rights to the music, and they recoup that money by ad revenue and subscription sales.

Words with friends is a free app, can we post the pirated version since all it does is remove ads? repeat this statement with thousands of other iphone apps. It's piracy. I couldn't care less, but I always thought it was one hell of a double standard practiced on these forums.

Eh i don't see it as the same. Its their terms you violate which is up to them to cancel your account to not cost them money. Its not like saying oh i know your app is $3.99 but i want it for $0.

And it doesn't help me sleep at night. I don't use the pandora hack at all. I have the Pandora One subscription and have for years now and would prefer to keep my account ... sure ive looked at it but i really don't skip that much that i have to have unlimited. Just have to get your stations right and your gtg.

It's like saying "Oh, your subscription service is $10 a month, but I want it for $0". The RIAA limits the amount of skips, not pandora. They [pandora] have to purchases licenses, and those licenses are limited. It's not as simple as skirting pandora's ToS. You're essentially saying that it's OK to violate the licenses of the RIAA, but not Zynga simply because it's subscription based as opposed to a one-time fee.

ANYWAY...I just realized this 3.1.12 hack was buggy. It would crash when you click "New Station". Downgraded to previous version.

Eh I ain't gonna argue it. Like I said I don't use it.. My stations are pretty spot on after years of adjusting.. Plus I don't want to lose my account since I've had the subscription for years. your more than likely right but I guess since it's not as direct as stealing apps from
The app store with installous the mods don't care as much. If it bothers you that much just PM one of them. We are only speculating which we can do till the end of time... Ask one of them and you'll get your answer if you truly want it.

I noticed the same thing. I'm not sure which is more important to me, the ability to create a new station on my iPhone, or the ability to skip without limits. Unless someone has a workaround?
