I tried researching thru the posts but couldn't find.

Is it possible to stream Pandora or Slacker from iPod touch to the Apple TV 2?

Yep. Have airport expresses set up in garage & patio and :apple:TV in 2 different rooms and can stream Pandora to all locations via my iPad. Looks super impressive when company comes over for the holidays. :D

Having a party on Tuesday, I think I might just use this. Have the iPad on the table, and guests can choose music.

I guess I am more dense that I thought. When I double click the home button, it takes me to my home screen. Am I supposed to do something after that?

Multitasking should pop up. Are your running 4.x iOS?

Do you have one of the later versions of the Touch? You need the one that supports multitasking where double clicking the home button brings up the multitasking tray at the bottom. If you don't have that, I don't think your Touch supports Airplay.

I have an iPhone4 and ATV2 both with updated software/firmware, and when I play Pandora on my iPhone, I don't see any airplay menus of any kind.

EDIT: I didn't have any airply functionality for music (but I did for photos). A reboot of the iPhone solved the problem. The airplay button showed up for Pandora. Interestingly, once it was turned on, it worked for any audio app that played, such as one by my favorite band, Phish, even though the airply icon was not present on the app's screen as it was with Pandora and is with the iPod player (it could be found via the double click method though)

Ok now I see Pandora has the Airplay button on the app itself. I didn't realize that until now because I was using it but the button had disappeared. Then I just read where Apple released an update today to Time Capsules and Airport routers that's supposed to fix some bugs with Airplay. After the update, my Airplay button showed up on Pandora again. Hopefully this keeps it more stable.

All apps contain DRM, and emailing the app won't work.

Concerning the AirPlay icon, I couldn't get it to work, but then I remembered I should probably wake the Apple TV from its sleep :)

When in the multi task function on my iPad I don't see the option to push to my apple tv or airport. Am I missing something?

You have to swipe all the way to the left but as stated earlier, Pandora has the Airplay icon right there on the app so you don't need to go into the multitasking tray for Airplay.

Are you finding the Airplay icon on any other apps? If so, try rebooting your phone or just close down the app completely using the multitasking tray.

I'm on my Ipad. I don't know if that makes a difference. How would I reboot? I tried closing pandora down completely. I also tried to using my ipod feature... no go. I can push to my :apple:tv when watching videos easily.

**** after calling apple and 20 minutes of troublesome shooting a simple Turing it off and then back on was all that was needed.
