Cool

Not on the iPod/iPhone. It's still 128kbps. That figure is correct, but it only applies to the Pandora One web app. I think Pandora One on the i4 just provides more hours of music instead of the 40hr limit placed on the free app itself.

However, Slacker Radio Plus is 192kbps across all eligible iDevices (iPod touch, Mac, iPhone).

Quality. I'm in.
Thanks.

I usually listen to my music, but when I do listen to internet radio, it's gotta be Last.fm. I think that its algorithm does a better job. Pandora's no slouch though.

I have been looking for where it says on slackers website that the subscription service streams at 192 kbps but I can't find any information. Where did you find this out?

I was wondering if you could just make a new Pandora account with a different email address and get another 40hrs per month?

the 40 hr tracking is done by a flash cookie on your computer, since the app isn't running in flash that cookie doesn't exist, as far as I know there is no limit to iphone usage, but I noticed recently there are ads now on the iphone app of pandora so possibly with the last update they could now be tracking usage, but before it never seemed to apply to my account...

take that back, just read that the latest versions of pandora do have the time limit, came the same time the advertising did probably about a month ago...

With my iPhone 4 and Pandora, I've used more 3G data in the last two days than I used all of last month on my iPhone 3G.

I love Pandora app once again w/ multitasking, but I'm really loving this NPR Music app. Listening to DMB at Bonnaroo right now. great stuff.

Yep and that's why I want to see what my usage habits are before changing my data plan around. I was lucky enough to keep unlimited.

I listen to Pandora everywhere on virtually every device I own; Roku player, iPhone, PC at the office, Blu-Ray player, etc...

I have a Pandora One account so I literally have it playing from the minute I walk in to work each morning to the second I shut down in the evening - I'm an IT guy so sometimes that is from 8:30am to 3:00am the following morning.

However, I have not added it to the i4 I just got a few days ago - I wasn't sure if the app was updated for iOS4 and didn't want to risk any incompabitibilities...plus, I was about to need to join a 12-step program so I figured I'd take a week or so off...at least on the phone.

Fink :apple:

I have been a pandora user since day one.

But have download slacker becasue of people suggesting in this thread.
Testing for 2 days now pretty good i must say it has come a long ways i tried it out before a long time ago.

Off subject a little bit.

Does anyone know a way to turn off auto play of itunes.
Everytime i put my phone in the dock in my car itunes starts playing. Getting realy anoying because i don't listen to ituens i use Slacker right now.

I used to rarely use it, but now I use it all the time thanks to multi-tasking. I might try some other Internet radio apps to see which I like best, but iOS 4 really makes them useful and fun to use now. :)
