I know, already did. But its very exhausting and frustrating this lottery with panels. Is there any limit of exchanges you can make?

it takes long because mine were BTO. They've just been shipped from China. I compared though my gf's new rMBP 13'inch and her is white as snow compared to those I sent back...

So today I got 2 replacements - both A02F (last ones were A02E screens). The screens seem better, but not perfect either. When I compare it with my gf's 13'inch rMBP 2015 - hers is white as snow and mine are pinkish-warm-white with a bit more yellow/warm right side. It's not really sensible though to compare 13 and 15 inch screens I think...I guess I will just keep them.

I have two rMBP (see picture below). A 1TB 2.8 15 and a 512GB 2.5 15. The 1TB (on the left) has panel model 0000A02E and the 512GB (on the right) has model 0000A02F. I did notice that the 1TB had a yellow tint and wasn't as bright as the 512 but it has cleared up on its own after use.

I just checked mine and is 610/A02F and the screen is White, I used a Pixel Tester app to check the colors, maybe there is something wrong with the color calibration with the A02E screens

You guys may have seen me in the 2013 rMBP 15" "yellow screen" thread. I went through five models all with uniformity issues which meant it couldn't be calibrated. I returned all of those units and waited for the refresh.

I ordered a 2015 rMBP 15" which I received about a week ago and this is the first one I've got that is uniform. The bottom and top of the display are indiscernible to my eye. I haven't run a calibrator on it but it's as near perfect as I can tell. The white point is also extremely accurate to my eyes where as ones I received in Late-2013 to Early-2014 were all drifting too far yellow.

The panel I have is the Manufacturer: 00000610 and Model: 0000A02F

This appears to be the latest Samsung one? - As I say, looks fantastic. Probably the most accurate Macintosh display I've ever had from Apple. If you're not happy with what you've got I would urge you to replace it as there are good ones out there you just may not get it on your first or second attempt.

As I wrote - I have now two rMBP with 0000A02F screens. Both of them are for me too much on the warm side, looking purplish/yellow. However I don't think I've seen a rMBP 15 inch screen that would be perfectly white, and I've seen quite a few of them. My girlfriends 13 inch is much nicer, whiter but that's the only exception. It's also very subjective - what's perfect to one person - the other finds too warm.

I have had two 2015 15" base models. The first one had IR after just 3 minutes on the burn in test. It was a A02E panel and had a warm tint.

The replacement was an A02F panel with no IR with a good white point out of the box.

Do burn-in test.... if it has burn in on your model, then it's LG... if not, Samsung....

That would have worked in 2012, but not now.

Is there still no info out there on which model numbers correlate to which manufacturer?

I think it's possible that both screens are from Samsung, given the manufacturer code of 610 is the one used with Samsung displays in previous years' MacBook models. I don't know why they'd use two different panels from the one manufacturer, though; I don't think they've done this before.

I have received my macbook with AMD Radeon R9 370X and it has the following panel:

Manufacturer: 00000610
Model: 0000A02E

After 3 hours using it I'm returning this Macbook, white isn't white. There's yellow tint covering the complete screen!
When i put my old Macbook Pro 15 Retina 2012 next to this new model there is a major difference in color, also the brightness is more on the 2012 model which got a new screen a couple of months ago.

Getting a new one tomorrow, let's hope it's not the same panel with yellow tint.

More people has this yellow tint?

I know its a late response, but did you by any chance got the monitor with "normal" whites? I am in the same boat with my2015, its has a strange yellow/pink hue, and my 2011 MBP 15 screen looks much better (not talking about the pixel count) Thank you. Please let me know if you can :) Tim
