Just little things. Like I can't set the order of my share icons without them resetting. I don't know if that'd be fixed with the restore I'm about to do, but it is a problem because I REALLY want to use them without having to scroll through my list.

Just ran across that one myself. Sigh.

I noticed on my ipod touch 5g with the new jailbreak that my brightness gets reset after every time I reboot from where I set it. Its sets itself to the middle in the control center.

DO i have to download the Pangu jailbreak tool right now? I don't really want to turn off anything or do anything for it to work.

Really? A jailbreak out of China? After the iCloud login scam and a Trojan that targets jailbroken iOS decives?
No thank you!

Are you a troll or just uninformed? The last major jailbrake for iOS 7 was done by the same Chinese group and has been vetted by US based jailbreakers.

Waiting for a confirmed Mac version. Approved by @Musclenerd or @Saurik ... once substrate is updated devs will update their (via Cydia) apps

I'm kind of new to the JB thing (My last one was with IOS 5??

Anyway, I'm wondering, right now I have some apps that I can't backup with Itunes (But work with jailed IOS), if I install the JB, will I be able to back them up with Ifunbox in the private folder??

This is awesome.

Applied successfully to my iPhone 4s running on 8.1, Cydia also installed fine.
Now to be patient and wait for substrate to be updated. :D

Tools used to jailbreak: Pangu, Cyberduck (there is a Windows version now too), PuTTy.

PS: Does anyone know the names of some good jailbreak tools for optimising iOS? Like changing the speed of default animations, and (anything) that can help improve performance? I know most of these probably rely on substrate, but I would like to know the names of the tweaks so I can take note of them.

I haven't jailbroken since iOS 6, and 7 ( about 4 months ago ) and memory is hazy. Thanks

Springtomize 3 is what i use but it needs to be updated

I am not trolling at all. Just cautious.

Others might call it "uninformed" (based on the past 6 months of events in the jailbreak community)

Last I read "afc2add" was not working so iFunbox will not read the files correctly (Saurik or AngelXWind will likely fix it however). iFile does not work either.

Reading over on the reddit jailbreak sub, there are a lot of bugs in this release of Pangu. Probably best for the vast majority of non -devs to stay away until Cydia is packaged with it and the bugs are worked out.
