Yeah it sucks they had to burn these exploits for iOS7. I guess there is no guarantee that they would have worked with the final release of iOS8, but if they are getting it to work with the betas, who knows. Oh well, iOS8 isn't enough for me to want to give up my JB!

Only one of the Exploits that are going to be used for iOS 8 was burned. Most of the exploits were for expired certifications that musclenerd went over and said they couldn't use for legality issues. The iOS 8 jailbreak will be fine because of this release as nothing but one exploit was used.

Good to hear!:D

Will iOS 8 Jailbreak likely appear by winter?

Just please let us know if a JB tool for the beta arrives. At least on the 32-bit iPads (iPad2 and 3) I've tested it on, I had absolutely no problems except for some minor annoyances. I'd certainly live with a beta (disguised as a final one, obviously, as I've did with 7.1b3.)

Can't guarantee that. It will depend on the exploits they currently have and if they survive through the beta and final release. Based on the guys working on the jailbreak for iOS8, only one of the exploits they have was used with this jailbreak for 7.1.1. and wasn't a major exploit. I wouldn't expect any news until iOS 8 has been released and they've tested it with the iPhone 6 device(s).

Gotcha. I plan on buying the iPhone 6 immediately just to ensure I have software that will be jailbreakable. Do you advise against this or recommend waiting for a bit for bugs to get worked out....or do they usually patch it pretty quick and my plan is good?

Pangu iOS Jailbreak released for iOS 8

With iOS 7, 7.0 through 7.0.6 qre all jailbreakable with evasion. It's really unlikely that 8.0 will be jailbreakable and 8.0.1 won't. You don't need to rush.

Great. Give is a Mac version while you're at it so we can actually do it. I don't feel like pirating Windows just to jailbreak my phone.

Do you think it's worth waiting until 7.1.2 is out and risk the exploits being patched? I'd only be doing that based off the risk that Apple will still be signing for 7.1.1 by the time we find out.

how did you get usb to work? i can't seem to fix it. I'm on mavericks, and ran 8.1 enterprise preview in virtual box. can't seem to bridge the usb ports to connect devices.

Great. There goes an early ios 8 jailbreak.

Are you kidding me? You don't even know what you're talking about. This exploit uses bugs which Apple has known of for a while to achieve an untethered jailbreak on iOS 8 beta. NOTHING HAS BEEN 'BLOWN'.

See my post above.

The current version of 7.1.2 does not fix the Pangu jailbreak. There is no reason to suggest Apple would rush a fix this late in the development stage.

What program are you using?
