Just got my leopard DVD....I put it in, held down the option key or whatever and selected the DVD from the boot menu that comes up.

A couple times while sitting at that first menu before I click "english" and a few times just before or after I click accept on the license agreement thing the screen goes grey and i get a kernel panic. Here is my panic log:

Try running the installer from the DVD versus boot selections. SHOULD it matter? No, but thats all I can think of, that maybe it does something more than make the installer DVD the selected boot volume.
